Seniors Helping Seniors
Lynn Phillips, Franchise Owner
Through her work with veteran services, Lynn Phillips frequently witnessed senior citizens in need of care services and companionship that often went unmet or unnoticed. Before opening her franchise, she personally saw the positive return that in-home care services can bring to a senior’s life, through her involvement with “Love on A Leash,” a national therapy dog organization.
Her work with veterans has given her a strong desire to provide area seniors with those services that are lacking in the Lexington area, while at the same time giving other able seniors purposeful activity by working as providers.
When a loved one begins experiencing a shift in their ability to manage day-to-day tasks and cannot do everything they used to, it is the perfect time to expand their support network to include services from Seniors Helping Seniors® Lexington in-home care services. Our assistance allows your loved one to stay in the comfort of your own home.
Personal Care is the provision of “hands-on” care related to personal hygiene or functional Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) in a person’s home that they cannot meet independently. ADLs are routine activities that people perform every day without needing assistance, including:
- Bathing and Showering
- Toileting (Oral Care, Personal Hygiene, Grooming)
- Mobility Assistance
We match seniors who need a hand with mature, active women and men who have a passion for helping others. Seniors Helping Seniors® was founded in 1998 with two simple ideas:
- Seniors can help each other age more happily and gracefully.
- Seniors who give, and those who receive, benefit equally.
