Amada Senior Care
Ken Jenson, owner of Amada Senior Care Omaha, believes that senior care should always be a family endeavor. Providing the highest quality of care for a senior client is only part of the job for Ken and his team; just as important is providing support to the client’s family. A devoted family man, Ken and his team are committed to caring for the entire family. Says Ken, “If we’re there cooking breakfast for Mom, we will also cook breakfast for Dad. If we’re there doing laundry for Mom, we will also do Dad’s laundry. We’re there for the whole family.”
This commitment has earned Amada Senior Care Omaha its reputation for delivering superior senior care from Omaha, Lincoln, Elkhorn, Ralston and other cities and communities in Douglas, Sarpy, Cass, Saunders and Lancaster counties all the way to Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Each member of the Amada Omaha team member not only has completed specialized training but also has expert knowledge and many years of experience in senior care. Emily Stevens, operations manager, started in senior care eight years ago as a CNA and entered into administration seven years ago. “We don’t like saying ‘no’ to anyone calling or inquiring,” Emily says. “We are committed to finding the most appropriate and effective solution to meet the needs of the senior client and of the family.”
Receptionist and scheduler Angie Preucil worked two years as a caregiver on the Amada Omaha team before moving into caregiver scheduling and recruiting. Ken’s son Danny Jenson fills multiple roles. In addition to earning a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience from Brigham Young University, he also obtained a PhD in neuroscience from the Baylor College of Medicine. Learning and memory are his areas of educational emphasis.
Our goal at Amada Senior Care Omaha is to meet all of a family’s senior care needs and to exceed their expectations. We go beyond assisting them with activities of daily living (ADLs) like cooking and housekeeping because ultimately we want to enrich our client’s life in the most meaningful ways we can. Adding personal touches like discussing Aunt May’s favorite scripture with her, baking the chocolate chip cookies that Dad loves, or even giving Grandma a hand to keep her prized flower garden tidy allow us to show our senior clients that they are truly valued. It’s all about improving the quality of their lives.
And if the time should come when home is no longer the ideal environment for a senior, we will guide that senior and the family to the assisted living environment that ideally suits the senior’s unique needs and preferences. The Amada Omaha team will even continue to check in on clients who have moved to senior housing communities, just to make sure we haven’t missed an opportunity to be of service to them.
At Amada Omaha, we have learned through personal and professional experiences that the loved ones of senior care clients are often overlooked. We know how stressful and overwhelming it can feel to try to ensure the best care for a loved one who struggles due to his or her age. We believe that if we are to properly honor our calling to provide the best senior care possible, we must make sure that a senior client’s loved ones feel encouraged and supported throughout the journey.
We invite you to contact us at Amada Senior Care Omaha to learn more about how we can help a senior in your life age with dignity and give your family the peace of mind they deserve. Let our family take care of yours, because, as we say, “Someone you love needs us.”
