Amada Senior Care Lehigh Valley
Ed Duborg and Tod Meixell, owners of Amada Senior Care Lehigh Valley, understand that to provide the best quality of senior care it is necessary to support an entire family, not just a single client. They have seen first-hand the emotional and physical strain that often comes with taking care of an ill or elderly loved one, and realize that the pace many families keep while trying to care for a senior is simply not sustainable.
As Ed recalls, “I remember my mother, who was already taking care of five kids, trying to care for my grandmother, who was suffering from diabetes and rapidly declining health. It was a lot for her to take—so much so that it became a burden she could no longer bear all by herself. She needed help. We ended up moving my grandmother into an assisted living community when my mother was unable to handle her care.”
Now, Ed and Tod strive to alleviate the burdens Ed’s mother felt for their neighbors throughout the Lehigh Valley area. Ed says, “At Amada, we see people like my mother every day. People who are working, people who have kids; and they barely have enough time to go see their parents, never mind provide them with the care they need. At Amada, we provide the non-medical, in-home care seniors like my grandmother need to be able to continue living at home. We help with bathing, meal preparation, shopping, medication reminders, and more—all the little things that add up to the ability to enjoy a good quality of life.”
As we know through personal experience, knowing that a beloved senior is well-cared for not only affords their loved ones peace of mind; it also allows them to continue filling the family roles they have always held. This is why each of our home-care aides at Amada Lehigh Valley is dedicated to caring for each client as though they were a member of their own family.
In addition to in-home care, the team at Amada Lehigh Valley can assist families with all of their senior care needs. Whether we are guiding a senior through the search for the ideal assisted living environment, helping families find the best way to pay for care, or simply listening as our clients vent their frustrations, our clients always know they can count on their Amada family.
